Well it is almost 2009 and we had such a great year! Of course our biggest blessing was our little angel Calista and we are so thankful for her.

Calista had a wonderful first Christmas and had so much fun with family and friends! That girl keeps us busy for sure. First she got to hang out with her Tia Nydia, Tia Jeanine and big cousin Angelina on Tuesday. Then on Christmas eve we went to Tia Liz's to help cousin Danny celebrate his birthday. On Christmas day it was off to Granpa Jerry and Grammie Susan's in Santa Rosa for lunch and then a late dinner at Nana and Tata's in Vacaville. (Geez, I'm tired just thinking about it all over again) On Friday we had some of our close friends over for dinner and good conversation. Our last event was on Saturday when we said goodbye to Grandpa John and then celebrated his long life at GaGa Mary's Christmas celebration, it was both a sad and happy occassion.

Thank you all for helping us make 2008 great, we are so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family. We hope that everyone has a safe and happy New Year celebration and wish you all the best for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2009!!

What a lucky girl!!

Hi,

Well December is well on its way and Christmas is less than 10 days away, yikes! We have been having an eventful time of it though.

Calista has been entertaining herself to no end with her fascinating little hands, she just stares at them - it is quite adorable. It will be not time at all before she discovers her feet and toes since she is already enthralled when she sees them during diaper changes. She is also very vocal and coos regularly, but especially when she wants to let us know what she does or does not like. At her 2 month check-up last Wednesday she weighed in at 9lbs 13oz and is now 23" long. She is getting so big!

Over this last weekend Calista had a very busy social calendar. First we attended the Yotrio Christmas Party so she could meet all of Mom's co-workers. And on Sunday she finally got to meet her Great Grandfather John Lucas who will be celebrating his 101st birthday this week ~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANDPA! Thankfully he is doing much better this week and has already left the hospital.

While at home and not out and about Calista has been enjoying some of her generous gifts as you can see in the pictures. The blue fishy swing is from Aunt Heather, Uncle Brian and big cousins Tommy and Maddie. And she really likes the bear swing from the Scavones, it is really neat because it plays music, a heartbeat and you can even plug in your Ipod. Calista says thanks for all the fun toys, I am such a lucky girl!

P.S. - Devin and I got engaged on this date 8 years ago ~ we are taking Calista tomorrow to see the Christmas tree in Union Square where we got engaged. My how time goes by!

December Already!

Hello and Happy Holidays!

It's hard to believe it is December already and Christmas is just around the corner! Calista is excited for her first Christmas and liked meeting Santa. She also had a grand time meeting all of her Aunts, Uncles, and cousins over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

This past weekend we went over to Nana and Tata's to celebrate Tata's 76th bithday ~ Happy Birthday Tata! Here are the latest photos. We look forward to seeing you all soon!

6 Weeks and Adorable!

Hi,

Well it's hard to believe she is already 6 weeks old. We have been having such a great time with Calista taking photos and seeing her personality come out everyday. She is still very sweet natured and is more or less on a schedule, but she can get fiesty for sure! Here are some cute shots of our little love from her first formal photo shoot.

With Thanksgiving right around the corner we are enjoying some down time before the frenzy begins. We are uncertain what our plans are yet but we know it will involve some traveling to say the least. However we are certainly looking forward to Calista meeting all of the family and catching up with everyone.

Hello,

We have not updated our page in a while since we been quite busy. Last week was Dad's birthday so we were celebrating - on his birthday last Thursday we went to dinner at his favorite brewery pub in Pleasanton the HopYard. Then on Saturday several of our good friends and family came over to toast Devin! Many were also meeting little Calsita for the first time - a good time was had by all.

Today Calista is 5 weeks old ~ my how time goes by! She is cute as can be and has already met Santa. We're starting to prepare for the holidays since they are right around the corner, can you believe it.

Calista has been growing each day and goes back to the doctor in early December for her 2 month check up. She sleeps quite well and only gets grumpy when it's time to change her diaper or to eat. We have so much fun and can hardly wait for Dad to get home each night to play with her too.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

Our little pumpkin is doing well, getting bigger everyday as you can see in her pictures! We had a Dr's appointment on Wednesday and she weighed in at 8 lbs 3 oz., and everything else is good with our little cutie pie Calista.

Calista At 2 Weeks

Hello,

Calista had her 2 week check up today and we weren't surprised that she is up to 7lbs 13oz since she has been feeding like crazy, and she also grew in lenghth and is now 20 1/4" long. She is happy and healthy we are so thankful for that. Her next appointment is not until December provided all goes well.

We are doing good also. I am still working on getting in sleep where I can and Dev is back at work. We will start having visitors soon I am sure!

Here are some photos of Calista getting her regular manicure, it's amazing how quickly her nails grow! There is also a cute shot of the adorable gift that Diane Reilly sent us - an adorable poodle wagon. Well that's it for now, looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Baby Calista Has Arrived!!

Hello,

Well our little angel joined us on Friday October 10th at 7:57am, weighing in at 6 lbs 14 oz and 19.5" long. We are happy to report that she is healthy and Mom is doing well after 38 hours of labor and a c-section to bring our precious girl to us. Fortunately she is a very happy baby and arrived home on Monday 10/13. We have been adjusting to life with less sleep but it is so much fun you don't really notice!!

Here are some photos of our little love, as you can see she looks alot like Dad =) Calista had her first Dr appointment yesteday and we were pleased to learn that she is only 3 oz from her birth weight.
