As usual....

time has passed my by again, geez!

It is hard to keep up since Calista takes up all my free time, but in a good way of course =) She is so active now, creeping and rolling around on her tummy to get where she wants to go. Calista is also sitting up quite well and is having a blast doing it all!

We had a wonderful Mother's Day and I am so lucky to be her mother <3



GO GIANTS!!

In April and now May Calista has done/is doing so many things,

- went to her 1st Giants game

- started to eat peas, green beans, apple sauce, pears and carrots

- talks all the time, including calling me Mama for the first time!

- regularly sleeps through the night

- and last but not least gets cuter by the day =)

Spring is Here!

Hello!

What a wonderful way to start off Spring with this great weather we are having, I just love it! Calista is having a ball being out and about but most of all because warm weather allows her unfettered access to her toes for nibbling!! She is crazy for those toes. She has also learned how to do multiple rolls and is dying to eat whatever we are noshing on. What a big girl she is already!

Wow, how time has flown!

Hola!

Long time no talk!! I can't believe it is mid-March already!!! Calista has grown so much since my last post in January. We have been busy running around with family and friends but mostly just enjoying our little angel.

Since January Calista has

- turned toe sucking into an olympic baby sport

- rolled over, front to back and back to front

- mimicks actual words! The first ones were "Oh Boy!", then came "baby" and now "hambre"

- started eating cereal this past weekend, really more like wearing it though =)

- not to mention she is already into the 6 month and up clothes since she is so long.

Because Calista has been so busy turning into a big girl I have been busy overloading my computer, therefore I have limited new photos to share. As soon as I work out my external hard drive issue then it will be back to normal. Until then my 700 new pictures have to wait patiently on their card to be brought to life. And these photos may not be the best quality since they're from my phone but I've got to work with what I've got!

Things are good on all other fronts - Devin is working like crazy, my work is fine and Mom is doing well. I will try not to let so much time lapse before the next post!

Just Adorable in January

Hi!

With 2009 in full swing we have been keeping a full schedule. Devin has been busy at work and I have been working on tying up loose ends here at home before I return to work part time in February. Calista has been having so much fun playing in her room and taking naps in her "big girl" crib - she especially likes napping with her friend Bunny from Tia Nydia and Tia Jeanine. Mom has even more fun capturing it all on film =)

On Sunday the 11th we celebrated my Mother Rosemarie's birthday before her surgery. I am happy to report that on the 15th she had a successful surgery for her hip and is on the mend, we will be taking good care of her for the next few weeks.

Another important birthday is on Monday 1/19 ~ HAPPY BIRTHDAY VALERIE!! We hope that Ken, Ella and Dana plan a great day for you. We also say Happy Birthday to Dana!! =) Wish we could all celebrate in person.

Well that is pretty much all for now but I will try to give an update soon. In the meanwhile enjoy the latest cute pictures of our little love bug.

Greetings 2009!

Hello!

Well 2009 is off to a busy start! We had a great time celebrating the new year and now look forward to having a wonderful 2009.

Calista is just getting so big and is more interested in everything with each day. She was staring at her feet in wonder today and trying to reach them, it is so cute! She is also keen on putting anything and everything in her mouth - I am convinced she is going to have teeth coming in early since she also drools all the time. We have also been having alot of tummy time pracitce on her Froggy Playtime set (yeah Auntie Collette and Uncle Aaron!). And despite being crankier at night when she doesn' t want to go to sleep as quickly as she has been she is still quite a happy baby most of the time. Her big sister Sneaky is taking it all in stride and even though she does not get as much attention as she used to is content to get it when she can.

Well it is almost 2009 and we had such a great year! Of course our biggest blessing was our little angel Calista and we are so thankful for her.

Calista had a wonderful first Christmas and had so much fun with family and friends! That girl keeps us busy for sure. First she got to hang out with her Tia Nydia, Tia Jeanine and big cousin Angelina on Tuesday. Then on Christmas eve we went to Tia Liz's to help cousin Danny celebrate his birthday. On Christmas day it was off to Granpa Jerry and Grammie Susan's in Santa Rosa for lunch and then a late dinner at Nana and Tata's in Vacaville. (Geez, I'm tired just thinking about it all over again) On Friday we had some of our close friends over for dinner and good conversation. Our last event was on Saturday when we said goodbye to Grandpa John and then celebrated his long life at GaGa Mary's Christmas celebration, it was both a sad and happy occassion.

Thank you all for helping us make 2008 great, we are so lucky to have such wonderful friends and family. We hope that everyone has a safe and happy New Year celebration and wish you all the best for a happy, healthy and prosperous 2009!!
